Note on Husband: Richard Sturges HARVEY

1851 - Interestingly, one of his fellow lodgers is Mary Ann Witt, aged 60, a widow with two children who is next found living as a companion to his mother in 1861, after the death of Thomas Harvey. Mary Ann was a witness to his mother's murder and was severely injured in the attack.

By 1861 Anne Canham, whose parents are both deceased and her brother and sister also probably deceased, is living with her Uncle, having previously lived with her Grandparents in Fen Ditton. She presumably moved to London after the murder of her grandmother in Fen Ditton. She has no recorded employment at that time.

1871. Walter John (7) and Percy Carter (3) have arrived.

Harry Coard (6) who was born in Calcutta and is given as a British Subject.

By 1901 Richard is now 78 and Louisa has died. He is given as a Tailor/Employer. Living at home are Louisa M. (47), Adeline S. (42), Percy C. (33), Arthur Frederick Harvey (6) grandson, born in Hornsey. The latter might well be the son of Walter who is given as a Widower, living in Worcester at this time. They also have a servant, Ellen Cranston (25). Sydney Harry Coard, who would be now 16, is not living with them.³⁸
