Apparently she loved to wear long dresses and was an accomplished pianist Probate record describes her as a single woman and leaves estate to Gladys York, widow. Per the 1939 War Record, Gladys was her mother. Her father was Philip H York, Shipwright. Also at the address, 55 Lucknow Street (just off Fratton Bridge) was brother Alan and sister Peggy.
